Collaboration at Scale: Using AI to Bridge the Communication Gap
In enterprise software, the real cost isn't technical debt — it's communicative debt.
Too often:
- Teams build to misunderstood specs
- Decisions are siloed, rationales lost
- Documentation is outdated before it's read
AI can transform this:
- Summarizing complex project histories in real time
- Translating between roles (developer ⇆ analyst ⇆ stakeholder)
- Acting as a continuity agent when people rotate or leave
I've begun exploring ways to use AI to create 'communication scaffolding' — lightweight, dynamic layers that hold shared understanding in place. In the long run, this may matter more than CI/CD or frameworks.
In short: AI isn't just a dev tool. It's a *collaboration layer* — and it’s becoming essential.
